The Band
MEET THE BAND:
Marko: Lead Guitar
I’ve known Marko the longest, and he’s probably the quietest member of Just Loud Enough. That’s not to say he doesn’t have plenty to say – he just doesn’t feel the need to say all of it out loud. Marko lets his guitar do most of the talking.
And when he picks up that guitar, you’d better pay attention. He’s without a doubt one of the best lead guitarists I’ve ever played with. He doesn’t need to be the center of attention, doesn’t chase the spotlight, and probably wouldn’t know what to do with it if you handed it to him.
But put a guitar in his hands?
That’s when Marko has something to say…
Mike: Rhythm Guitar & Lead Vocals
Mike is one half of the brother combination that makes up Just Loud Enough – and if you didn’t know better, you’d swear he and Steve were twins.
They’re almost identical, even though there’s nearly a full year between their birthdays.
Mike is one of those guys who’s easy to like. He’s laid-back, in good shape, confident without being full of himself, and always seems to have a story, an opinion, or a smart-ass comment ready when you least expect it.
He and Steve have been together practically their entire lives. Their dad put them into Judo when they were young to burn off some of that excess energy.
It worked.
Sort of.
The Judo stuck.
The energy apparently did too.
Steve
Steve: Bass Guitar
If you’ve met Mike, you’ve probably met Steve. And if you’ve met Steve, you’ve probably had to look twice to figure out which brother you were talking to.
They’re close enough in appearance to pass for twins, but spend a little time with them and you’ll discover they’re definitely their own people.
Like Mike, Steve is fit, easygoing and a genuinely good guy. He and his brother grew up together, trained in Judo together, and somehow managed to turn what started as a way for their dad to wear them out into something that became a lifelong part of who they are.
Steve brings that same steady quality to the band.
He’s our bass player, but that’s only part of what he brings to the table.
And between you and me, I’m pretty sure Steve is the one who keeps Mike out of trouble.
Most of the time.
Jessica: Keyboards & Lead Vocals
There’s not a whole lot I’m going to tell you about Jessica just yet.
Not because there isn’t anything to tell.
Quite the opposite.
Jessica has a story, and I’m pretty sure we’re only at the beginning of it.
She’s got the looks. She’s got the voice. She’s got more talent than she gives herself credit for. But somewhere along the way, life taught her to doubt herself – and that’s a lesson that can be a lot harder to unlearn than it is to learn.
She’s also got a life outside the band that doesn’t exactly leave her with a lot of spare time.
For now, I’ll just say this:
Jessica belongs here.
And I’m hoping I’ll be there the day she finally realizes just how good she really is.
There’s a lot more to her story, and we will get there.
And then there’s me… Wayne on drums
I’m the only member of Just Loud Enough who is actually real. At least as far as I know.
I’m a drummer, a songwriter, and the guy who somehow ended up surrounded by four people who exist primarily in my imagination.
The funny thing is, the longer I write about them, the less imaginary they seem.
So I’m going to let Marko, Mike, Steve and Jessica tell their own stories.
I’ll just be sitting behind the drums, trying to keep up.
To be continued…

Not too loud, not too soft, we’re just loud enough.
