For most of my life, somebody else decided where I needed to be and when.
Now I’ve got nowhere to be and all day to get there. ~WB

X(yz+1): Retirement isn’t the end of the road. It’s the beginning of a whole new adventure! No more punching clocks, chasing deadlines, or waiting for someday. It’s time to trade the daily grind for forgotten dreams, new opportunities, and a little well-earned freedom. We’ve got nowhere to be and all day to get there. We’re Movin’ & Groovin’ On!

MOVIN’ & GROOVIN’:

Well, I punched that clock for the very last time,
Left my troubles and my worries behind.
Got some new drumsticks and a tuned-up Jeep,
And a whole lotta dreams I’ve been planning to keep.

They said, “You’re too old, you better think this through,”
I said, “That’s all I’ve had is lots of time to do!”
I’ve spent half my life just waitin’ in line,
Now the road ahead is finally mine.

I’m movin’ and groovin’, and takin’ my time,
Got a little bit of rhythm and lots of sunshine.
No more punchin’ clocks, no more pullin’ my hair,
I’ve got nowhere to be, and all day to get there!

Nowhere to be…
All day to get there…
I’m movin’ and groovin’, without a care!

Well, the boss came by, said somebody called out,
He said, “I need you to stay till I can work this out.”
I said sorry boss, but I’ve got this mythical band.
And we’re recording tonight as I shook his hand.

He said, “You’re a little too old, for trying something new!”
I said, “Hold on there boss, it’s what I was born to do!”
So I grabbed my old jacket as I headed for the door,
And said, “My music is calling, don’t call me anymore!”

Got a drummer’s dream and my mythical band,
And a mythical bar and a one-night stand.
Not the kind with a woman, just a stage and a song,
And a crowd that’ll keep us playin’ all night long!

Let the doubters talk, let the naysayers shout,
I got a whole new life I’m figurin’ out.
If they wanna know where I’ve been or gone,
Tell ’em, “The old bastard just kept movin’ on!”

I ain’t lookin’ for fortune,
I ain’t chasin’ no fame.
Just a little more livin’,
And a lot less of the same.

Got a song in my heart,
Got a smile on my face.
And for the first time in forever,
I ain’t runnin’ no race!

Yeah, I’m movin’ and groovin’,
Just rollin’ along.
Got nowhere to be, boys,
And I’m already gone!

ALL DAY TO GET THERE!
