X(yz+1): This is a fictional story about a man named Noah. He’s a traveling non-denominational Christian pastor, claims he was born in Bergen, Norway. Obviously has an extensive education, but unverifiable. Speaks multiple languages. He’s deeply Christian, but not preachy. Very skilled fighter. His years of training are obvious, but refuses to discuss where or with whom. Claims he has no military background but his knowledge of strategy, terrain, weapons, human behavior and historical warfare sometimes makes people question that claim. This is Noah’s theme song. More coming soon…

TROUBLE FOUND NOAH:

Nobody knew where he’d been,
Nobody knew his name.
Just a worn-out Bible beside him,
And blue eyes hard as rain.

He rolled into town before sundown,
With dust upon his clothes.
Said, “I’m only here to preach awhile.”
That’s all anybody knows.

He took a room by the highway,
Left his old truck by the door.
Sunday morning spoke of mercy,
To maybe thirty souls or more.

Said the strong were made for lifting
Those who couldn’t bear the load.
Then he closed that battered Bible,
And disappeared back down the road.

He never went looking for a battle,
Never needed to prove a thing.
But there are wolves who see compassion
And mistake it for something weak.

Trouble found Noah,
Noah didn’t run.
He stood between the darkness
And the ones who had no one.

He didn’t raise his voice,
Didn’t reach for any gun.
He just said, “You can walk away.”
But trouble thought it’d won.

Trouble found Noah…
And trouble should’ve run.

There was a girl behind the diner,
Bruises hidden underneath.
A man who called himself her lover
Had taught her not to speak.

Noah saw him grab her wrist,
Said, “Friend, you need to let her go.”
The man laughed and swung without a warning—

Three seconds later…

He was staring from the floor.

Sheriff asked him where he’d learned it.
Noah smiled and shook his head.
“Sometimes peace requires protection.”
That was everything he said.

They searched his name in Oslo,
Found a birth without a past.
A school that couldn’t find him,
And a file that shouldn’t have vanished.

Someone asked him where he’d come from.

He said,

“Some things are better left with God.”

He knew the words of ancient warriors,
But preached forgiveness like a friend.
He could tell you how a war begins…

And everything it costs to end.

Trouble found Noah,
Noah didn’t run.
He stood between the darkness
And the ones who had no one.

He didn’t raise his voice,
Didn’t reach for any gun.
He just said, “You can walk away.”
But trouble thought it’d won.

Trouble found Noah…
And trouble should’ve run.

Some men carry anger.
Some men carry scars.
Some spend their whole lives running
From the people that they are.

Noah carries something different—
Something no one understands.

A Bible in his left hand…

And mercy in his right hand.

But mercy ain’t surrender.
And forgiveness ain’t defeat.
Turning your cheek doesn’t mean
You let them hurt the weak.

There’s a time to walk away,
There’s a time to make a stand.

And heaven help the man who hurts
The helpless…

When Noah’s in the room.

Trouble found Noah,
Noah didn’t run.
He stood between the darkness
And the ones who had no one.

He’ll pray beside the broken,
He’ll forgive what you have done.

But put your hands upon the innocent…

Brother, you better run.

Trouble found Noah,
Underneath that setting sun.

He came to town to preach about peace…

But trouble brought the war.

By morning he was gone again,
Headed somewhere down the road.

No forwarding address.

No home.

No congregation.

Just an old black truck…

A worn-out Bible…

And a past that nobody knows.

Trouble found Noah…

It won’t make that mistake again.
